This Privacy Policy applies specifically to the Audio Player app developed and published by Waysider Studio ("we", "our", or "us") on Google Play. By using the app, you agree to the terms described in this policy.

1. Permissions Used

Audio Player requests only the permissions it strictly needs to function:

• READ_MEDIA_AUDIO (Android 13+) / READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE (Android 12 and below) — Required to read audio files stored on your device. This data never leaves your device. We do not upload, transmit, or access your files in any other way.

No other permissions are requested. The app does not access your contacts, location, camera, microphone, or any other sensitive data.

2. Information We Collect

What we do NOT collect

• We do not require an account and we do not collect your name, email, or any personal identifier.
• We do not access, read, copy, or transmit your music files, playlist names, or listening history to any server.
• All playback happens 100% on your device.

What Google AdMob may collect

Audio Player is free and supported by ads served by Google AdMob (Google LLC). AdMob may automatically collect the following data to serve relevant ads:

• Advertising ID — a resettable, non-personal identifier assigned by Android to your device.
• IP address — used to approximate your general location (country/region) for ad targeting. Not stored by us.
• Device information — device model, OS version, language, and screen size.
• Ad interactions — whether you viewed or tapped an ad.

This data is collected and processed directly by Google LLC under their own Privacy Policy. Waysider Studio does not receive, store, or have access to this data.

3. How We Use Information

We do not directly collect personal information, so we have nothing to use or process ourselves. The only data-related activity in this app is AdMob's ad serving, described above, which is governed by Google's policies.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or share any personal data with third parties. The only third party involved is Google AdMob for ad delivery. See their policy at policies.google.com/privacy.

5. Internet Access

Audio Player requires internet access only to load ads via AdMob. Music playback is fully offline and requires no internet connection. The app will never upload your audio files or send them to any server.

6. Advertising Choices

You can limit ad tracking at any time:

• On Android 12 and below: Settings → Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalization
• On Android 13+: Settings → Privacy → Ads → Delete advertising ID
• Manage preferences at adssettings.google.com

Opting out means you will still see ads, but they will not be personalized based on your interests.

7. Data Retention

We do not store any personal data. Ad-related data collected by AdMob is subject to Google's retention policies.

8. Children's Privacy

Audio Player is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal data through this app, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps immediately.

9. Your Rights (GDPR / CCPA)

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Access personal data held about you
• Request deletion of your personal data
• Object to or restrict processing
• Data portability

Since we do not directly collect personal data, most rights apply to data held by Google AdMob. For Google-related requests, visit myaccount.google.com. For any other concern, contact us directly.

10. Security

Because Audio Player processes all audio data locally and never transmits your files to any server, your music library is protected by your device's own security settings. We take reasonable measures to ensure the app itself is safe and free from vulnerabilities.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy when the app changes (e.g., new permissions or new features). The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the current version. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
