Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy applies specifically to the PDF Signer app developed and published by Waysider Studio ("we", "our", or "us") on Google Play. By using the app, you agree to the terms described in this policy.

1. Permissions Used

PDF Signer requests only the permissions required to open, sign, and save PDF files on your device:

• READ_MEDIA_IMAGES / READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE — Required to open PDF files you select from your device storage. Files are read locally and never transmitted to any server.
• WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE (Android 9 and below) — Required to save the signed PDF back to your device. On Android 10+, scoped storage is used and this permission is not needed.

The app does not access your contacts, location, camera, microphone, or any other sensitive data. Your signature is captured via touch input directly within the app and is never stored independently — it is embedded into the PDF only when you explicitly tap "Save" or "Export".

2. Information We Collect

What we do NOT collect

• We do not require an account and we do not collect your name, email, or any personal identifier.
• We do not read the content of your PDF documents beyond what is necessary to render them on screen for signing.
• Your PDF files, their content, and your signature are never uploaded, transmitted, or shared with Waysider Studio or any third party.
• We do not store a copy of your signature.

What Google AdMob may collect

PDF Signer is free and supported by ads served by Google AdMob (Google LLC). AdMob may automatically collect the following data to serve relevant ads:

• Advertising ID — a resettable, non-personal identifier assigned by Android to your device.
• IP address — used to approximate your general location (country/region) for ad targeting. Not stored by us.
• Device information — device model, OS version, language, and screen size.
• Ad interactions — whether you viewed or tapped an ad.

This data is collected and processed directly by Google LLC under their own Privacy Policy. Waysider Studio does not receive, store, or have access to this data.

3. How We Use Information

We do not directly collect personal information, so we have nothing to use or process. The only data-related activity in this app is AdMob's ad serving, described above, which is governed by Google's policies.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or share any personal data with third parties. The only third party involved is Google AdMob for ad delivery. See their policy at policies.google.com/privacy.

5. Internet Access

PDF Signer requires internet access only to load ads via AdMob. All PDF processing — opening, signing, and saving — is fully offline and requires no internet connection. Your documents are never sent to any external server under any circumstance.

6. Sensitive Document Handling

We understand that PDFs often contain sensitive information — contracts, legal documents, medical forms, financial records. PDF Signer is designed with this in mind:

• Documents are opened directly from your local storage using Android's standard file picker.
• All rendering and signature embedding happens in memory on your device.
• The signed output is written back to your device's storage only when you explicitly save it.
• The app does not keep any cache of your documents after you close them.

7. Advertising Choices

You can limit ad tracking at any time:

• On Android 12 and below: Settings → Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalization
• On Android 13+: Settings → Privacy → Ads → Delete advertising ID
• Manage preferences at adssettings.google.com

Opting out means you will still see ads, but they will not be personalized based on your interests.

8. Data Retention

We do not store any personal data or document data. Ad-related data collected by AdMob is subject to Google's retention policies.

9. Children's Privacy

PDF Signer is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal data through this app, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps immediately.

10. Your Rights (GDPR / CCPA)

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Access personal data held about you
• Request deletion of your personal data
• Object to or restrict processing
• Data portability

Since we do not directly collect personal data, most rights apply to data held by Google AdMob. For Google-related requests, visit myaccount.google.com. For any other concern, contact us directly.

11. Security

Because PDF Signer processes all documents locally and never transmits your files to any server, the security of your documents depends on your device's own security settings (screen lock, encryption). We take reasonable measures to ensure the app itself is free from vulnerabilities that could expose your files.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy when the app changes (e.g., new permissions or new features). The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the current version. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
